Photoseries: Visiting the Chicago Botanic Garden Nature Preschool

There is something about visiting schools that is, in my view, pure magic. Last week I had a chance to visit the nature preschool at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I left, despite the cold@outside, feeling warm, cozy even. ✨ The educators were so loving, the spaces so carefully considered. I left my visit so grateful and deeply thoughtful. In this photoseries, I muse about one avenue down which these thoughts wandered—space. I ask: How can emptiness actually be an invitation to wonder? What is possible to see when we look, anew, at absence? What thoughts come up for us about children, childhood, and the spaces in which it is lived? What wondering do the forms of these places invite?
